WHAT TO EXPECT IN A MASSAGE

Massage Oil Application

DURING YOUR APPOINTMENT

Each session will begin slightly differently depending on the type of massage you’ve booked. (To learn more about the types of massage, click the button below) After a brief intake chat, Sarah will step out of the room to wash her hands and give you privacy to get settled on the table. You're encouraged to undress to your comfort level — typically this means down to underwear or boxers, but this is your session. You should feel completely safe and at ease in whatever you choose. When you’re ready, lie face down under the sheet and blanket, and let Sarah know you’re covered and comfortable. She’ll re-enter the room and check in with you before beginning.

A NOTE ON HELPING

Once your massage begins, Sarah kindly asks that you relax and let her do all the work. Trying to help — by lifting limbs or tightening muscles — can interrupt the flow of the treatment and affect her draping technique. If she needs you to shift, she’ll ask. Otherwise, your only job is to unwind.

Back Massage

AFTER YOUR TREATMENT

Sarah will leave the room again to let you get dressed in your own time. Once you're ready, she’ll check in to see how you’re feeling and share any post-treatment advice, such as stretches or exercises that might support your recovery and comfort.
